Administration overview

Use system-wide CareMap administration tools when your account is an administrator.

Use system-wide CareMap administration tools when your account is an administrator.

The Admin area is for trusted system operators. It helps you review CareMap health, manage accounts and organizations, configure content governance, and inspect audit history. It does not replace normal workspace permissions: an administrator can open Admin tools, but ordinary Library, People, Report, and organization access still follows the permissions shown in those workspaces.

If your account is not an administrator, CareMap shows Admin access is required and does not load the Admin panels.

Open Admin

  1. Sign in with an administrator account.
  2. Open Admin from the app navigation.
  3. Use the top tabs to move between Dashboard, Access, Content, and Audit.
  4. Use the shared CareMap search field when a list panel supports filtering.

On smaller screens, Admin keeps the same sections but wraps or scrolls dense tables so actions remain reachable.

Use Dashboard for system status

Dashboard summarizes system-wide counts for Users, Guides, Pages, Blocks, Reports, and Organizations. Its secondary tabs include Overview, Billing, Readiness, Maintenance, Jobs, and Eggs.

Use Dashboard when you need a quick operational picture, recurring License value, readiness signals, maintenance controls, or recoverable job status. Read warnings and timestamps before acting; some cards are summaries, while others can run an explicit retry or maintenance action.

Use Access for people and organizations

Access includes Users, Organizations, Licensing, and Tags.

  • Users helps you find or create account records, then review profile, authentication, License, and access details.
  • Organizations helps you create and open organization records, manage organization details, Staff, clients, Supplier configuration, and organization Licenses.
  • Licensing defines reusable Packages and assigns Licenses to accounts or organizations.
  • Tags manages administrative access tags used to organize accounts and organizations.

Use Refresh or reopen a detail page if a list or record looks stale after another administrator changes it.

Use Content for governance

Content includes Record Types, Code Sets, and Catalog.

Use these sections to maintain structured People record types, public code-set images, and Catalog moderation. Content controls can affect what users see or select, so review visible labels, status, and any impact confirmation before making a change.

Use Audit for history

Open Audit to review supported recorded activity. You can search, sort, load more history, save repeated filters, and export the current view as JSON or CSV. Audit history is read-only; changing filters does not change the recorded events.

Exports can include administrative and account context. Store and share them only through an approved location.

Troubleshoot Admin access

If Admin is missing or will not load:

  1. Confirm you are signed in with the intended administrator account.
  2. Refresh CareMap and retry the failed panel once.
  3. Check whether the issue affects one section, such as Billing or Audit, or the whole Admin area.
  4. Record the visible error, section, approximate time, and action you tried.

Do not send passwords, payment details, notification tokens, exported audit files, or private care content through an unapproved support channel.
