Manage organizations

Create, review, and configure organizations and their access.

Administrators use organizations to group Staff, clients, access, content, and shared resources. Open Admin, choose Access, then choose Organizations.

Find an organization

The organization list shows each organization's name, access tags, and counts for Staff, clients, and members.

  • Use the Admin search field to find an organization by name.
  • Use Staff presence to show all organizations or only organizations with no Staff.
  • Use the tag filter to match one or more access tags.
  • Select a column heading to change the sort order.
  • Select Load more when additional results are available.

Select an organization row to open its details.

Create an organization

  1. Select Create organization.
  2. Enter a Name.
  3. Select Create organization again.

CareMap opens the new organization so you can finish configuring it. A name is required; if creation fails, keep the dialog open, review the message, and retry.

Configure an organization

Use the organization detail sections for different kinds of work:

  • Overview — rename the organization, add or replace its logo, review membership totals, assign access tags, view storage and AI-credit usage, and manage invitations or retention holds.
  • Access — manage Staff, Clients, Licenses, and Devices. Removing Staff or a client requires confirmation because it changes what the organization can access.
  • Content — configure the organization's Record Types.
  • Supplier — configure supplier status and package access, and recover supplier orders when that feature applies.
  • Clinician, AT Services, and Support Coordination — independently enable the organization's approval service roles. A Clinician operator must configure referral routing separately before that organization can receive authenticated referrals.

The Staff list can add or remove Staff and mark eligible Staff as managers. The Clients list can add or remove clients and manage their magic keys. Use Licenses to review or change the organization's package access, and Devices to register or revoke shared devices.

See Configure approval service roles for role behavior, operator eligibility, and Clinician referral readiness. These roles are separate from Supplier configuration.

If an organization is missing

Clear the search, choose All organizations, and clear any tag filters. If the list still does not load, use Load more or retry after the error message clears. Controls in this area require administrator access; if a control is unavailable, confirm that you are signed in with an administrator account.
