Review audit history

Review available administrative audit history for important changes.

Use Admin → Audit to review recorded administrative events and other important CareMap changes. Audit history is read-only; searching, sorting, or saving a filter does not change the recorded events.

Review an event

The table shows each event's Time, Actor, Action, Target, and Outcome. The event summary appears with its time, while the actor and target cells provide additional identifying context. Use these details together when checking who performed a change and what it affected.

Select a column heading to sort by time, actor, action, target, or outcome. Select Load more when additional history is available.

Only CareMap administrators can open the Admin area and Audit history. Audit records show supported recorded events; the absence of a row should not be treated as proof that no activity of any kind occurred.

Narrow the history

Enter a term in CareMap's search field while Audit is open to narrow the event list. You can also select a Common scopes shortcut:

  • Reports for report activity;
  • Folders for folder and permission activity;
  • Admin for user and organization administration;
  • Reminders for reminder delivery; or
  • Guides for Guide import and copy activity.

Select Clear to remove a selected common scope. Search matches recorded audit text, so use a person, action, or target label when a broad term returns too many results.

Save a repeated review

  1. Set the search and sort order you want to reuse.
  2. Enter a Saved filter name.
  3. Select Save.
  4. Later, select Apply beside that filter to restore its search and sort settings.

After applying a saved filter, change its name, search, or sort and select Update to replace the saved settings. Delete removes only the saved filter, not audit events.

Export the current view

Select JSON or CSV at the top of Audit to download an export using the current search and sort order. JSON is useful when another approved system will process the data; CSV is convenient for a spreadsheet review.

Audit exports can contain account, target, and administrative activity details. Store and share them only through an approved location, and avoid attaching them to an unapproved support request.

If expected events do not appear

  • Clear the current scope or saved filter and simplify the search term.
  • Sort by Time and load more history.
  • Confirm that you are signed in with an administrator account.
  • Refresh CareMap if Audit reports a loading or export error, then retry once.

If the event is still missing, record the approximate time, actor, action, and target you expected before contacting an authorized support channel. Do not include exported audit data unless that channel is approved for it.
