Manage Code Sets

Global administrators use Admin → Content → Code Sets to maintain shared PNG vocabulary images. Authors choose them through Code-set images in supported image pickers.

Organization Manager authority alone does not permit catalog administration. Authors need access to edit their destination, but do not need global administrator status just to choose a supported catalog image.

Find a catalog image

1. Open Admin → Content → Code Sets.
2. Use the shared Admin search field to narrow the list.
3. Select Name, Description, Tags, or Explicit to sort.
4. Scroll through results; use Load more when available.
5. Select a row's edit action to inspect its full details.

Results load in batches of 60. The section description distinguishes the number loaded from the total matching the search. A missing thumbnail can mean that no image is attached or its preview failed to load.

Each row shows its name and group/source label, description, up to three Tags with an additional-count badge, and an Explicit checkbox. The table's checkbox is read-only; change it in the editor.

Search names and numbers

Use recognizable words from the name, description, group, or Tags. Multiple search terms narrow the results together; use a short query.

A number such as 9 matches that number in labels and descriptive text, including 09 or 9 steps, without matching 19 merely because it contains the digit. A number embedded inside an unrelated word does not qualify.

The author picker favors an exact numeric label before longer matching labels. Admin results follow the selected table sort.

Maintain the catalog

Use Add and update Code Set images for metadata, upload limits, replacement, and deletion.

Code Set Tags are comma-separated image-search keywords. They are separate from the administrative Tags assigned to users and organizations.

Explicit is a catalog classification. Marking it does not hide the image from the author picker or provide an audience restriction. Review image suitability for its intended use.

Editing this catalog does not edit Guide answer Options or Form Single choice and Multiple choice lists. Those choices remain part of their own content editors.

Help an author find an image

In a supported image picker, choose Code-set images, enter a query and select Search, and optionally choose a group from All categories. Clear the category to broaden the results.

The picker combines reusable images and can show the same image once even when the Admin catalog contains multiple matching rows. An Admin row without an attached image is not a usable new image choice.

After choosing, finish the destination's image settings and save the containing content. See image sources.

For failures, note the image name, group, search, visible error, and time. Do not send private care images or temporary image links through an unapproved support channel.
