Administration
Moderate the Catalog
Review Catalog submissions, taxonomy, listings, and publication status.
Catalog moderation lets administrators decide whether public submissions can be published, maintain the categories and Tags used by listings, and respond to listings that need administrative action.
Open Admin > Content > Catalog. The summary cards show retained listings, currently discoverable listings, and public changes waiting for review. Only CareMap administrators can use these controls.
Review a public submission
- Open Reviews and select Review beside a pending submission.
- Confirm the publisher, review type, visibility, description, version, Tags, cover, screenshots, and changelog when present.
- For a captured release, open each included Guide, Form, Template, or File. Files can be downloaded for review when their captured copy is available. A metadata-only review keeps the currently approved content version.
- Select Approve only when the submitted change is suitable for the public Catalog.
- To reject it, select Reject, choose the most accurate reason, add an optional message explaining what the publisher should change, and select Reject submission.
A submission can cover the initial publication, a later release, or listing details. CareMap may require the overall publication decision before later public changes can be decided. Once a decision succeeds, the review leaves the pending queue.
Maintain Categories and Tags
Open Categories & Tags to review the current Catalog taxonomy. To add an item:
- Choose Category or Tag.
- Enter its visible name.
- Select Add.
Use names that are distinct and understandable to publishers and people browsing the Catalog. This screen adds taxonomy items; it does not provide rename or removal controls.
Manage retained listings
Open Listings to review each listing's visibility, publication state, lifecycle, publisher, and total add count.
- Quarantine an active listing when it must stop being discoverable while it is investigated. Select Restore to return a quarantined listing to active lifecycle.
- Transfer changes the listing's publisher. Use it only when the destination account or organization is known and authorized to own the listing.
- Permanently delete removes the listing and every release. Before confirming, read the displayed impact carefully. For Course listings, deletion can also affect active learners and remove Learn items, progress, assessment attempts, certificates, and verification records.
Quarantine is the reversible choice. Permanent deletion is not a substitute for rejecting a pending change and should be reserved for listings that must be removed completely.
If moderation does not update
- If Catalog administration fails to load or an action reports an error, select Try again once.
- Reopen Reviews before repeating a decision; another administrator may already have decided it.
- Check Listings to confirm the current publication and lifecycle badges after an action.
- If a preview image or file is unavailable, do not approve content that you cannot adequately review. Ask the publisher for a corrected submission through an approved channel.
