Library

Create and organize content

Create supported content and place it in the right Library folder.

Create content from the Library folder where it should live. Your folder access and the workspace's authoring and storage allowances control the available actions.

Create a new item

  1. Open Library and choose the correct source.
  2. Open the destination folder.
  3. Select Create.
  4. Choose the content type and complete its creation flow.

The menu can include:

  • New Folder: enter a name and select Create folder. CareMap opens it.
  • New Guide: begin the Guide creation flow for the current folder.
  • New Form: enter a name and select Create Form. The new Form opens for editing.
  • New Course or Reference: choose the type, enter a name, and select Create Course or Create Reference.
  • Upload Files: choose existing files to add to the current folder.

A new item's presence in Library does not mean it is ready to run or publish. Complete its editor setup and review any readiness messages.

Start from existing content

Use Duplicate on an eligible Guide, Form, or Course to create a separate item. A whole-Guide template can offer Create Guide, which asks for the destination of the new Guide.

For supported packages, open More Library actions and choose Import Form, Import Guide, Import Course or Reference, or Import ZIP folder. See import and export for those flows.

Use Upload Files or drag files into a writable folder. Recognized project files open import previews. Ordinary uploads and processing are separate stages; check the item's status before expecting every file action to work.

For a reusable PDF layout, upload the PDF and use its Make Smart PDF action. Add fields, save the layout, and test sample answers. See Make a Smart PDF for authoring permissions and sharing.

Organize for access as well as appearance

Folders inherit access from their parents. Choose the location with its audience in mind and review folder sharing before adding content.

Use Rename or Move to reorganize existing items. A move changes the location of the original; Duplicate creates another item. Use folder presentation to make folders easier to recognize.

View Options changes the display and filters on your device. It does not reorganize stored content or change another person's view.

If creation fails or an option is missing

Confirm your source and folder, then check that you can edit there and that the workspace allows the requested authoring operation. For a storage error, review workspace allowances.

Supply a nonempty name when requested. If the dialog reports an error, correct that problem before retrying. Refresh Library after a connection failure to check whether the item was created before submitting another request. Reset type filters if a newly created item seems to have disappeared.
