Library content types

Library contains reusable care content and the folders that organize it. Use the item's type and available actions to decide how to open or manage it.

These are possible actions, not a promise that every item offers them. Access, workspace capability, readiness, and whether the item is active affect its menu.

A Smart PDF remains a Library File. Its saved fields and page placements let authorized people create profile documents. Use Make Smart PDF, Edit Smart PDF, or View Smart PDF from the file's actions according to its configuration and your access.

Choose a starting point

Open the destination folder and use Create. Choose New Guide for a care activity, New Form for responses, or New Course or Reference for learning or reference material. Choose Upload Files to bring in an existing file.

Courses and References share a Library category. An item can show Needs setup before its required setup is complete. An uploaded document can be stored while its processing or knowledge preparation is still incomplete.

Templates may represent a whole Guide or a smaller reusable part. The Library Create Guide action is for whole-Guide templates. Reusable resource or icon packs can also appear with template content; do not assume every template row creates a full Guide.

Open and manage items

Selecting a Guide can play it or show its details, depending on your Guide settings and whether it can currently run. Its actions menu provides the available alternatives. Other types open their supported content experience or file action.

Guides, Forms, and Courses support archive and restore. They remain distinguishable from active items in Library. Files and folders use deletion, with different retention consequences.

Rename, move, and copy explains which types support each operation. Publishing and sharing also differ: a folder sharing grant is not a Catalog publication.

Show the types you need

Open More Library actions > View Options. The six filters are Folders, Guides, Courses, Templates, Forms, and Files. Filters affect both browsing and Library search on this device. Reset them if expected content seems missing; they do not delete items or change access.
