Library
Library View Options
Choose Grid, List, or Compact and control which content types appear on this device.
View Options changes how Library displays content on this device. Use it to choose a layout or temporarily focus on certain types.
Change the layout
- Open Library.
- Open More Library actions > View Options.
- Under Display, choose Grid, List, or Compact.
- Select Done to close the panel.
Grid emphasizes cards and covers. List uses rows, and Compact uses a denser table. The chosen layout also applies to Library search results.
Changes apply as soon as you select them. Done closes the panel; there is no separate Save step.
Show or hide content types
In the same panel, use Filter types to toggle:
- Folders
- Guides
- Courses
- Templates
- Forms
- Files
These filters affect browsing and search results. For example, turning off Files can hide a matching document even when its name matches your search.
Select Reset in the filter section to show all six types again. Reset is unavailable when every type is already enabled. It resets the type filters, not your chosen display layout.
If filters hide all matching search results, the empty state also offers Reset filters. When only some results are hidden, open View Options to review the filters yourself.
Where the choice is saved
The layout and filters are stored in this browser or app's local storage when available. They persist across Library sources on that device and are not account-specific preferences synced to your other devices.
Someone using another account in the same browser storage can encounter the same display choices. Clearing that storage can reset them. If the browser cannot save local preferences, your choice may not survive reopening CareMap.
These controls only change the view. They do not delete content, change access, move items, or alter the folders other people see.
If something seems missing
Reset filters, clear the search text, and confirm the Library source and folder. Then check folder access. For a folder's shared color, icon, or image, use Presentation instead.
