Storage and AI allowances

Personal and organization workspaces have separate storage and AI balances. Switching contexts does not transfer or combine them. Sharing a folder also does not transfer its retained content to the recipient's personal storage.

Inspect the right workspace

Open Settings > Account > Usage and check Usage workspace. This switcher changes the active app workspace. Review AI credits and Storage there. Personal usage is visible to the account owner; organization usage requires authorized organization Staff access. Usage details unavailable is not a zero balance or a substitute view of your personal allowance.

Storage follows the content owner

A workspace's effective License benefits supply its capacity. Content retained in that workspace and upload reservations consume its allowance. Uploading into a shared writable folder uses the destination owner's storage, even while you browse it through your personal Library.

The card separates Authored content, Original assets, Generated data, and Activity. Uploads in progress appears when space is reserved. The Remaining amount accounts for those reservations as well as retained data.

When the allowance is reached, authoring operations can be rejected. A single upload can exceed the remaining capacity before the workspace is full. Reading, playing, downloading, exporting, and supported cleanup actions can remain available when your permissions and the item's state allow them.

Delete unneeded content in the affected workspace and wait for usage to update before retrying. Removing an offline copy from your device does not delete the server's retained content. Removing your shared access does not remove the owner's data or free its storage.

AI funding depends on the action

The selected workspace determines the balance displayed in Usage. It does not mean every AI operation uses that balance. For example, normal workspace Agent questions use the selected scope's funding, while editor AI requests try the requesting account's personal balance first and may have an eligible Guardian fallback. Other workflows use their content or profile owner's funding rules.

Check the operation's message and the relevant feature article when a request reports insufficient credits. Changing the Usage workspace alone does not redirect an operation's funding. Reserved credits are held for unfinished work; they are not final charges.

When more allowance is needed

Check the cycle reset date for AI credits. Review the affected workspace's active Licenses or ask its authorized manager to review them. An organization-assigned personal role License can add personal benefits; it is separate from the organization's own capacity. Multiple assignments of the same Package do not multiply its effective benefits.
