Upload files
Upload files, follow a batch, and retry only failed transfers.
Upload files into a Library folder to store originals and, for eligible formats, prepare content for AI search.
Choose a destination and files
- Open Library and select the correct source and folder.
- Select Create > Upload Files.
- Choose one or more files.
- Keep CareMap open while the transfer runs.
You need Owner or Read-write folder access, authoring permission, and available storage in the owning workspace. Files must be nonempty and no larger than 50 MB each (50,000,000 bytes). The selected batch must also fit the available allowance. Package imports have a different limit.
Where dragging files is supported, drop external files into the current folder or onto an eligible folder card or row. Check the highlighted destination. Dragging an existing Library item does not upload it.
Follow the batch
The upload panel shows active, queued, completed, and failed counts. CareMap transfers up to ten files at once and queues the rest. Each file settles independently; one failure does not undo completed files.

The fallback happens automatically for supported connection failures. It is not a separate action you need to select.
Retry a failed selection
- Wait until no files are active or queued.
- Review the completed and failed file names.
- Select Retry failed after resolving the connection or access problem.
Retry uses the retained failed selections and their original destinations. It does not resend the successful files. Switching folders does not redirect that retry.
Dismiss clears the settled batch panel and its retained selections; it does not delete uploaded files. Starting a new selection after a batch settles also replaces the old batch. Reloading or closing the app loses the local retry selection, so keep it open while recovering.
After the transfer
A file can appear before AI processing finishes. See Processing states for preparation and download files for the original.
Recognized .guide, .form, and .course files open project import previews, including when selected through Upload Files or drag and drop. Several packages are reviewed one at a time; mixed ordinary files use the upload panel separately. See project file import for queue, cancellation, and retry behavior.
For a missing or expired transfer, use upload recovery before selecting completed files again.
