Import project files from Upload Files or drag and drop

Route Guide, Form, and Course files to previews, handle mixed selections, and finish a queue of imports.

Library recognizes .guide, .form, and .course files as project packages. Selecting or dropping them opens the corresponding import preview instead of storing them as ordinary Library files.

You need an editable destination and a workspace that permits authoring. Each preview checks the project's access, capacity, format, and media requirements before import.

Import one or several packages

  1. Open the intended Library source and folder.
  2. Select Create > Upload Files and choose the project files. Where supported, drag them into the folder or onto an eligible folder card or row.
  3. Check the highlighted destination and then the destination in the preview.
  4. Review the proposed project, counts, warnings, and blockers.
  5. Confirm the import using the button for that project type.
  6. Repeat for each subsequent preview, then inspect the imported projects.

CareMap presents selected packages one at a time. After a successful import, it opens the next queued preview. When the queue finishes, it opens the final imported project in its editor.

Every confirmation creates a separate item. The queue is not one combined transaction, and successful earlier imports remain if a later one fails.

Understand a mixed selection

Ordinary files use the upload panel while recognized project packages use import dialogs. The upload panel's completed or failed counts describe its ordinary-file transfers, not every project in your selection.

An ordinary-file size error can appear while a package preview still opens. Check both outcomes. The ordinary 50 MB file limit does not replace the 25 MiB per-project-package limit.

Use the specific instructions for Guides, Forms, and Courses or References.

Close or recover the queue

Closing an import dialog discards the remaining local package queue. It does not remove completed imports or undo a request that already created content. Reloading or closing the app also loses the selected queue.

Before selecting the files again, check Library for completed items. Reselect only the packages you still intend to import. For a failed preview or confirmation, follow that package type's retry guidance while its dialog remains open.

Choose the right file format

Do not rename an unrelated file to a project extension; it will still fail package validation.

A regular .zip is an ordinary upload through this entry. Use More Library actions > Import ZIP folder to expand a folder archive.

A generic .json selection is not automatically recognized as a Guide package. For supported CareMap Guide JSON, use Import Guide explicitly. Convert MyGuide 11 content from a linked source account; its raw JSON is not a CareMap project package.
