Agent

Ask useful questions

Give the Agent enough context to answer or take a supported next step.

Give the Agent a clear outcome, source, and boundary so it can answer or take a supported next step.

Build a focused request

  1. State what you want to know or accomplish.
  2. Name the Guide, file, Course, Reference, Form, Note, person, or schedule when one matters.
  3. Say whether you want information only or a specific change.
  4. Include important limits such as a date range, time zone, person, folder, or output format.
  5. Send the question, then answer any clarification in the same chat.

For example:

  • “Search the Emergency Plan Guide for fire evacuation steps and name the source.”
  • “How do I invite organization Staff? Search CareMap Help and cite the instructions.”
  • “List scheduled Guides from August 3 through August 7 in America/Chicago. Do not change anything.”
  • “In this Guide, rename the current page to Morning Routine.”

The last example works only in the Guide Agent while that Guide is open in the editor. Form changes likewise belong in the Form Agent.

Remove ambiguity

Avoid requests such as “change that one” when several records could match. Use the exact visible name, then describe the intended result. For schedule requests, provide the date, time, and time zone. If a change could overlap another schedule or affect related content, the Agent may explain the conflict and ask you to confirm before continuing.

Make the action explicit. “What is scheduled tomorrow?” is read-only. “Move tomorrow's Morning Check-in to 10:00 AM” requests a change. The Agent should not create, update, or delete content based only on a question about it.

Choose the right source

Ask about your own workspace content by naming it. Ask about CareMap features, permissions, statuses, or workflows by requesting CareMap Help. A question can use both, but the Agent should keep public Help separate from your Library sources.

Your wording does not expand access. The Agent can use only content and actions available to you in the active workspace, and it should ask instead of guessing when required details are missing.

Improve an unhelpful answer

  • Confirm that the correct workspace is active.
  • Replace broad terms with the exact labels shown in CareMap.
  • Ask one task at a time and narrow the date range or content scope.
  • Ask for source names or Help links when you need to verify an answer.
  • Review tool activity before relying on a requested change.

If Agent is unavailable or your monthly AI credits are used up, follow the message shown on the Agent screen before retrying the question.
