Use Agent in the Form builder

The Form builder's Agent can read and edit the active Form you have open. You need folder edit access, workspace authoring access and storage, plus Agent availability and credits.

Ask for a Form change

1. Create or open a Form in Library and enter its builder.
2. Finish any open item or settings dialog with Done and resolve save errors.
3. Select the section or item you want to discuss.
4. Select Agent in the builder.
5. Name the desired changes and whether you want a plan first or want them applied now.
6. Review the tool results and the refreshed Form.
7. Check Form issues and test Preview before collecting answers.

For example: “In the current section, add an optional Short text field called Preferred name.” Include whether each answer is required, the choices, and any length, number, date, or upload restrictions that matter.

Sending waits for pending builder edits to save. An unfinished dialog is different from a saved builder change; finish it before asking Agent to work.

Supported edits

Agent can inspect the Form's sections, items, fields, settings, and readiness. It can:

• change the Form name, description, Quiz mode, and default section background;
• add, rename, describe, duplicate, reorder, or delete sections and change their background overrides;
• add, edit, duplicate, move, or delete Info text, Display image, and answer field items; and
• update field labels, help text, required status, choices, and supported type-specific options or limits.

The available answer types are Checkbox, Short text, Long text, Number, Date & time, Single choice, Multiple choice, and Upload.

Deleting a section removes its items. A Form must retain at least one section. Editing stays tied to this Form; open another Form's builder to work on it.

Review defaults and unsupported changes

New answer fields are required unless you ask otherwise. New fields start ungraded. Choice fields can receive placeholder options if you do not supply the actual choices; inspect every option before use.

Agent can change Quiz mode, but its current editing tools do not configure answer keys, grading modes, or points. Use the builder's grading controls to finish a scored Form.

An existing field's type cannot be converted by this tool. Add the correct field type and review any removal separately. Use Form settings for cover-image changes. Media must already be available to the Form; describing an image does not upload it.

Saved changes and Undo

Successful Agent edits update the current shared Form and refresh the builder. That refresh clears the Form's session Undo history. Do not rely on Undo to reverse an Agent request.

Read editing groups and review before a large request. For save errors, stale content, or a failed refresh, use editor recovery.
