Agent availability and AI credits

Open Agent in the right workspace and distinguish unavailable service, held credits, and funding limits.

Agent can answer ordinary questions even when your workspace is empty or its sources are still being prepared. Empty search results do not mean the chat itself must be unavailable.

Open and check Agent

  1. Select the intended personal or organization workspace.
  2. Open Agent from navigation, or More on mobile.
  3. If Agent is hidden, check the device's feature settings and available access.
  4. Read any availability message. Use Check again when offered after restoring a connection or waiting for a temporary service problem.
  5. When the chat opens, check the scope above the message box and the available-credit display before sending.

A missing sign-in, unavailable workspace, disabled feature, or temporary service problem can prevent chat from opening. A folder that is no longer available can require you to choose Use the offered workspace scope.

Adding a random file does not repair a service or access failure. For questions about CareMap features, you can ask for public CareMap Help without first adding your own Library content.

Read the credit display

The header shows AI credits available. On a narrow screen, the wording is shorter. Select the balance for details:

  • Available for new AI work is the amount currently spendable, including eligible added credits as well as cycle credits.
  • Temporary holds cover running work or work awaiting final usage. They are not currently spendable.
  • Settled usage describes recorded usage; it is separate from the available balance.

AI credits unavailable means the balance could not be shown, not that it is zero. Reload or reopen the chat when connected.

Ordinary Agent requests use the selected workspace's funding. An organization funding error needs attention to that organization's allowance or credits; adding credits to your own account may not resolve it.

Recover a funding problem

Read the specific message. A request can need more credits than the available balance even when that balance is above zero.

If credits are held, wait for ongoing requests to finish or restore funding. If there is no eligible allowance, the allowance must change; waiting for a monthly reset alone may not help. Use a displayed future reset only when CareMap says it can help and the allowance remains active.

Stopped or failed work can still use credits for work already performed. Stopping does not promise that every held credit will be returned.

A provider funding error is separate from your CareMap balance and requires administrator attention. See response recovery and workspace usage.
