Agent
Attach files to an Agent chat
Ask about documents and images in a private conversation, then save a separate Library copy when needed.
Attach documents or images when you want the Agent to use them in the current conversation.
Send files with a question
- Open the intended workspace and Agent conversation.
- Select the paperclip Attach files control.
- Choose up to 10 files for this message. Each must contain data and be no larger than 50,000,000 bytes.
- Review the filenames. Use Remove beside a selected file to take it out of the unsent message.
- Type the task, such as “Compare the transport instructions in these two PDFs,” then select Send message.
- Wait through Uploading and processing attachments…, then review the answer and tool activity.
You can send files without text, but naming the task produces a more focused request. Your typed message still has the 2,000-character limit.
Choose useful formats
Document reading supports PDF, Word DOCX, Excel XLSX, PowerPoint PPTX, plain text, Markdown, CSV, JSON, and YAML when recognized in those formats. PNG, JPEG, WebP, and GIF images can be supplied visually. Sending an arbitrary file successfully does not mean the Agent can interpret its contents.
The Agent can read documents in parts and revisit earlier attachments in the same chat. Name the file and section you want; ask it to continue if its answer covers only part of a long document. Check the original for small text or image details.
Attachments belong to your account's conversation. They do not automatically appear as ordinary Library files, Profile Documents, or Guide media, and broad workspace search does not include these private originals. Other members of the workspace do not gain access to them through folder sharing.
Changing the search folder does not remove the chat's earlier messages or attachments. Use Start a new CareMap chat for a separate conversation.
Save a Library copy
Select Save to Library beside a sent attachment. After success it shows Saved to Library.
This uploads a separate ordinary file into the conversation workspace's top-level Library. There is no destination picker, and the next-question folder does not choose the save location. The save needs permission and storage for that destination. The resulting copy follows normal Library access and processing rules; check those before saving private material.
Deleting the chat removes its conversation attachments from availability. A separately saved Library copy remains. Removing an unsent selection is not a way to remove a file from an earlier sent message.
For slow processing, unsupported files, or save failures, see attachment recovery.
