Getting Started
Sign in to CareMap
Sign in with the method available for your account and return safely to your work.
Use a sign-in method already available for your account. The controls shown also depend on your device and the providers enabled in CareMap.
Sign in with email and password
- Open the sign-in screen. If you see account creation, select Sign in.
- Choose the email-and-password method if a shared device offers a method choice.
- Enter your account email and current password, then select Sign in.
- Wait for the workspace to load.
If Activate your email appears, follow email verification. For an account arranged by a manager, finish the account setup email first.
Use another available method
- Sign in with passkey uses the browser or device prompt and a passkey already attached to your account. The control may be an icon labeled Passkey. See Passkeys for supported devices and the desktop app limitation.
- Continue with provider starts an enabled external provider's sign-in flow. Use the provider identity associated with your CareMap account.
- Magic key is available on registered shared organization devices. Follow Client Magic keys for the registration and issued-key workflow.
These methods can have different prerequisites. An unavailable passkey or provider does not make a different account's credentials valid for this one.
Sign in with a QR code
Use a device already signed in to create a one-time code, then select Scan Code on the other device's sign-in screen. The scan action is labeled Sign in with QR code for accessibility. See QR sign-in for the complete steps, 60-second expiry, and camera requirements.
QR sign-in adds a session on the other device; the original device stays signed in. You can review both in Account sessions.
Reset a forgotten password
Select Forgot password?, enter your account email, and select Send reset link. Follow Reset your password to finish. The request confirmation alone does not establish that the email matches an account or that a message arrived.
For rejected credentials, unavailable methods, or a workspace that will not load, see Troubleshoot sign-in.
