Troubleshooting
Troubleshoot sign-in
Try safe recovery steps when CareMap does not accept your sign-in.
Start with the method you normally use and the exact message shown. A rejected password, expired session, and workspace-loading failure need different actions.
Email or password is rejected
Re-enter the full account email and current password. Check for a typo or an old saved password. If you normally use Continue with an external provider, use that provider identity. Wait as directed if CareMap reports too many attempts.
Use Reset your password if you have forgotten it. Use the newest link within one hour. A completed reset ends all existing account sessions, so other devices will also need to sign in again. The reset request confirmation does not prove that the address matches an account.
For a pre-created account, finish its setup email. If setup is already complete, sign in or reset the password instead of reusing the setup link.
Verification is still pending
On Activate your email, use Resend verification, open the newest message, then select Refresh status if needed. Follow Verify your email for expired links and verification from Settings.
Another sign-in method is unavailable
- Passkey: use a supported device with access to the saved passkey. Passkey sign-in is currently unavailable in the desktop app. See Passkeys.
- QR: use Scan Code with a fresh code from a signed-in web or desktop device. Codes expire after 60 seconds and work once. See QR sign-in for camera and replacement help.
- Magic key: follow Client Magic keys and ask your organization manager to check the device registration and issued key.
- External provider: complete the provider flow with the identity linked to your account. If it cannot be used, choose another method already attached to that same account.
Workspace temporarily unavailable
This screen means CareMap still has your session but could not load the workspace. Check your connection and select Retry loading workspace. Technical details can show more about the failed request. Resetting your password is not the recovery action for this loading screen.
If saved sign-in cannot be restored, or the session has expired or been revoked, sign in again. Refresh session in Settings renews an active session; it cannot recover a session that has already ended.
If recovery still fails
Contact your organization manager or CareMap support. Include the visible message, approximate time, sign-in method, and whether you used web, desktop, or mobile. Do not send passwords, passkeys, magic keys, reset links, or QR codes.
