Getting Started
Accounts and invitations
Create a CareMap account or accept an invitation from someone who manages your access.
A CareMap account is your identity and includes a personal workspace. An invitation adds a specific relationship or source of access to that account; it does not create a second account. Sign in with the email address that received the invitation.
Create your own account
- On the sign-in screen, select Sign up.
- Enter your name, email address, password, and password confirmation.
- Select Create account.
- On Activate your email, open the newest verification email and follow its link.
- Return to CareMap and select Refresh status if the workspace does not open automatically.
Keep using this account and its personal workspace after joining an organization or accepting another invitation. For normal sign-in and password recovery, see Sign in.
Finish a pre-created account
An authorized organization or Supplier manager may create an account for you. In that case, open the newest CareMap setup email, use its secure link to choose your password, and then sign in. If the link is unavailable or no longer works, ask the sender to resend account setup. Do not forward a setup link or share a password.
Account setup and access are separate. Completing setup makes the account ready to use, while an invitation or assignment determines which organization, relationship, or shared Library source the account can access.
Find and review invitations
Sign in with the exact email address that was invited, then look in the area that matches the invitation:
- Home > For you shows pending contact, Care Team, and organization invitations. Organization invitations open a detail screen before you accept or decline.
- People > Invitations shows incoming contact and Care Team invitations. Select Accept or Decline. Accept all applies only to actionable contact invitations.
- Library shows a pending folder invitation bar. Select Review, then Accept or Decline.
Before accepting, confirm the sender, destination, and access described by the invitation.
Understand what acceptance adds
- A contact invitation creates a contact relationship. It does not by itself share every record or Library folder.
- A Care Team invitation grants access through the accepted Care Team relationship and its assigned Clients.
- An organization invitation adds the Staff or Client relationship shown on the invitation. Available organization actions depend on that role.
- A folder invitation adds the shared source to Library with the permission assigned by its owner.
A pending or declined invitation grants no access. An expired, revoked, or canceled invitation can no longer be accepted. After acceptance, access still depends on the related membership, role, or share remaining active.
If setup or an invitation is missing
- Check the email address and spam folder. On Activate your email, use Resend verification and then Refresh status when needed.
- Confirm that the signed-in account uses the invited email address. A different account cannot accept that invitation.
- Check Home, People > Invitations, and Library for the matching invitation type.
- Ask the sender to confirm the address and resend setup or create a new invitation if the original expired, was revoked, or was canceled.
