Verify your email

Activate your CareMap email address and recover from missing, expired, or replaced verification links.

Email verification confirms the address attached to your CareMap account. Needs verification changes to Verified after successful confirmation. Requesting a message alone does not verify the address.

  1. Open Settings > Account > Security.
  2. Under Email verification, check the displayed email address.
  3. Select Send verification link.
  4. Open the newest CareMap verification message in your inbox and follow its link.
  5. Return to CareMap and check the verification status.

You can also select Resend on Activate your Email at the top of the main Settings page.

Verification links expire after 24 hours and can be used only once. Requesting a fresh link replaces the previous active verification link, so an older message may no longer work even if it is less than a day old.

If you received a verification token, paste it into Verification token in Security and select Confirm token. Do not paste a password-reset token into that field; reset and verification links serve different purposes.

No email is attached

Accounts without an email show Magic-key account or No email on this account instead of verification controls. Add an Email/password sign-in method in Security before requesting verification. See Authentication settings.

Changing the email through Email/password updates the account address and requires verification of the new address. If Security still displays the old account information, open Settings > Account > Sessions and select Refresh session. Return to Security and check the address before resending.

  • No message: check the displayed address, inbox, and spam folder. If the address is correct, request a fresh link and use only that message.
  • Email delivery unavailable: retry later. A failed delivery does not confirm that a message reached your inbox.
  • Expired, used, or replaced link: request another verification link. A link already consumed cannot be reused.
  • Already activated: no additional verification is needed. If the Settings suggestion is stale, its Resend action checks the current verification state.
  • Token rejected: use the token from the newest verification request and remove accidental surrounding spaces. Request another if it still fails.

Verification links and tokens give access to an account action. Use them yourself and do not send them to support. When reporting a problem, share the visible error and approximate time instead.
