Notes and Schedule
Set schedule reminder timing
Choose a reminder offset, distinguish assignment due reminders, and check upcoming recurring dates.
The Reminder choice sets how long before a scheduled start the reminder is due. It does not change the start time.
Choose an offset
- In the owning workspace, open Schedule and create a schedule, or open an editable item's Edit schedule or Edit series action.
- Check Start, the displayed timezone, and About.
- Choose Reminder.
- Review and save the schedule.
- Reopen the relevant date and check its reminder time and status.
Choices are At launch, 5 min before, 10 min before, 15 min before, 30 min before, 1 hr before, 2 hrs before, and 1 day before. The default is 15 min before.
At launch means the scheduled start time. It does not wait for you to press Launch. Offsets are elapsed time: 1 day before is 24 hours before the start, so its local clock time can differ across a daylight-saving change.
There is no None choice in this selector. To dismiss an available reminder, use Ack; that is not a permanent series-wide notification preference.
Creating or changing a schedule requires the appropriate source editing and subject access. See schedule access.
One date or every date
A recurring series supplies the default offset for its dates. In Reschedule occurrence, choose a different Reminder for that date or Use series reminder to inherit the default. An explicit occurrence offset continues to override a changed series default.
Reminder preparation for recurring schedules looks roughly a month ahead. A distant occurrence can be visible on the calendar before its reminder is queued. No reminders queued alone does not mean the recurrence is broken.
Assignment due reminders
An active Guide assignment with a due date uses that due time for its reminder. The schedule's offset selector does not adjust assignment due reminders. An assignment without a due date has no due-time reminder.
If the time has passed
Supported local delivery prepares only reminders whose due time is still in the future when the work is loaded. Creating or opening a schedule after its reminder time does not produce an immediate catch-up alert.
Check the work in Home or Schedule. For a future alert, review the intended start and offset with someone authorized to edit the schedule. See reminders after changes before relying on a saved edit to send another notification.
