Acknowledge a schedule reminder

Use Ack to dismiss a reminder's active state while leaving the scheduled work available.

Ack marks an individual reminder Acknowledged without completing or removing its scheduled work.

Dismiss the reminder state

  1. Open the work in Home or the owning workspace's Schedule.
  2. Check the title, date, and About person.
  3. Select Ack. On a narrow screen, open Actions > Acknowledge reminder.
  4. Wait for the action to finish and confirm Acknowledged appears.

The action saves immediately; there is no separate confirmation or Undo button. You can still launch active work afterward.

When Ack is available

Ack applies to scheduled Guides, scheduled Forms, and assignment due reminders. It can acknowledge a pending, failed, snoozed, or delivered reminder.

It is unavailable when there is no eligible reminder, the occurrence is done or skipped, or the reminder is already acknowledged, canceled, or skipped. The underlying schedule or assignment must still be active and match the reminder.

Ordinary users need access to the content and visibility of the attached person's Reports, in the correct workspace. Editing the schedule is not itself required just to acknowledge its reminder.

What changes

Acknowledgment clears the reminder's pending retry or snooze state. It does not record an answer, submit a Report, complete an assignment, or mark the occurrence done. Use the completion workflow for that.

The change belongs to the shared reminder. Other authorized viewers can see it; it is not only a personal dismissal on your device. A card can retain more than one reminder after timing changes, so recheck the available actions and status after saving.

On a supported device, refreshed reminder preparation removes that reminder from future local alerts. Another device may still have an older alert prepared until it refreshes. An alert already shown is not a completion receipt.

If it fails or returns later

Wait for any other reminder action to finish. If access or the source changed, close the details, refresh the current workspace, and reopen the work.

There is no direct Unacknowledge control. A later schedule or occurrence edit can reset an acknowledged reminder to Pending, including reminders on other dates in that series. See reminders after schedule changes before treating Ack as a lasting mute.
