Notes and Schedule

Reschedule one recurring occurrence

Move one date, set an occurrence reminder, and preserve or remove its reason.

Reschedule occurrence moves one date while keeping it attached to its original recurring series.

Move one date

  1. Find the occurrence in Schedule and open its details or actions.
  2. Choose Reschedule occurrence or Reschedule.
  3. Enter New start, using the timezone displayed in the dialog.
  4. Choose Use series reminder or a Reminder offset for this occurrence.
  5. Optionally enter or update Reason.
  6. Select Reschedule. Review any overlap warning before saving intentionally with Save with overlap.
  7. Find the item at its new date and check its time and reminder.

You need edit access to the source Guide or Form. These controls are for recurring occurrences; one-time schedules use Edit schedule, and assignment due rows do not offer this action.

What moves

The occurrence keeps its original identity and series date. Its card shows Rescheduled and the original time, while calendar placement follows the new start. Other occurrences keep their pattern.

The dialog does not offer a separate End field. Normal rescheduling retains the series' elapsed duration when it has an End. If the occurrence already had a special End from another flow, saving this dialog replaces that override with the duration derived from the series.

A replacement can be outside the current range or beyond the series' Until cutoff. Move to the replacement date to find it.

The dialog shows a timezone but has no timezone selector. A new nonexistent clock-change time is rejected; a newly entered repeated time uses the earlier instant. An unchanged saved time keeps its exact instant. See Schedule times.

Set a reminder and reason

Use series reminder removes an occurrence-specific offset and uses the series default. Choosing another offset affects only this occurrence.

Reminder recalculation is separate from moving the work. Snoozing a notification does not reschedule its occurrence, and moving an occurrence does not guarantee a notification will be delivered again.

Reason is optional. Reopening this dialog loads the saved reason. Keep it to preserve it, replace it to update it, or clear it and save to remove just the note. The saved reason appears on the occurrence card and details.

Cancel leaves the saved exception unchanged.

Undo or recover

Clear exception removes the whole override and returns the occurrence to its original series time and defaults. It does not step backward through earlier reschedules.

If the schedule changed while the dialog was open, close it, refresh, and reopen the current occurrence before retrying. This dialog does not offer Load latest or a persistent draft.

See exceptions and overlap warnings.
