Notes and Schedule
Open work from a reminder notification
Recover blocked or outdated reminder links and launch the current scheduled work.
A supported reminder notification can open its Guide or Form with schedule context. An old alert is not proof that the work is still current.
Open and check the work
- Tap the notification on a supported device and sign in if needed.
- Wait for CareMap to finish opening and checking the available content.
- Check the Guide or Form, scheduled date, and About person.
- If the work has changed or an error appears, return to Schedule in the owning workspace and find the current item.
- Use that item's Launch action when you are ready to continue.
Desktop local banners do not offer the same Guide-launch behavior as supported mobile taps. See installed-app reminders.
Guide reminder errors
A Guide reminder can show Reminder launch unavailable when its validation request fails, or Reminder launch blocked when its saved context is no longer usable. Read the explanation.
Common causes include a removed schedule or assignment, canceled or skipped reminder, changed due time or occurrence time, different content or person, lost access, or an inactive notification destination. An enrolled notification destination can also belong to a different account.
Restore the relevant access or reconnect as needed, then reopen the current work from Home or Schedule. Repeatedly tapping an old alert does not update its stored details. An assignment notification can also open a local session that cannot save as expected. Use the assignment's own Launch action or its current dated row. Preserve any answers already entered and follow assignment recovery.
An alert can outlive a change
Acknowledging, snoozing, rescheduling, or completing work does not erase every already displayed notification. Another device may retain an earlier prepared alert until it refreshes.
Some old links can still open content. Opening successfully does not prove that the occurrence remains active or that the next Report will mark it Done. Check its current date and status, especially after a move or skip.
Form notifications open the Form filling flow. Check its About warning and current Schedule row; do not expect the same Guide reminder validation screen. A Form that opens About you after losing the scheduled person's reporting permission will not complete that person's occurrence.
After completing the work
Return to Schedule and check the result. Matching completion requires the saved Report and launched occurrence to agree; a Report can be saved while the schedule remains unchanged. See completion matching and completion recovery.
