How Reports complete scheduled occurrences

Understand subject matching, changed dates, partial Guide Reports, and which occurrence becomes Done.

CareMap connects a completed result to the specific scheduled occurrence from which the work was launched.

Check the connection

  1. Launch the date through Schedule, its Home card, or a supported reminder.
  2. Keep the intended About subject when completing the work.
  3. Finish and save the Guide result or submit the Form.
  4. Return to that date and check its state and available View report action.

This works for one-time schedules and individual recurring occurrences. Assignment due rows use their own assignment context.

What must agree

The saved result must identify the scheduled Guide or Form and the launched occurrence. The occurrence must still belong to the schedule's current pattern.

For a schedule About a person, the Report must be About that same person. Choosing another person or Me does not complete that person's occurrence. A schedule without an attached person expects a Report About an account.

The launched start time must still match the occurrence's current effective start time. Starting from a properly rescheduled occurrence uses its moved time. Starting before someone moves it does not automatically complete the replacement time.

There is no requirement here that the Report be submitted at the scheduled clock time. Matching the occurrence and its current saved time is what connects the result; a later series edit can invalidate that connection.

Changes made while work is open

  • If the occurrence is skipped or moved to another start time, the result can remain saved without replacing that change.
  • If the schedule was deleted, its content changed, or the original date no longer belongs to the recurrence, the result does not mark it Done.
  • If the occurrence is already Done, another result does not replace its existing completion link.
  • Changing a title alone does not invalidate an otherwise matching result.

A successful save screen may not explain that schedule matching was skipped. Check Schedule separately.

Guide and Form results

A Guide needs a saved Report for a completed real player session. A Report captured when leaving early remains evidence of partial work; repairing or retrying that same partial Report does not turn the session into completed work. A combined Guide + Form Report can complete the scheduled Guide.

A directly filled Form completes its scheduled Form after successful submission. Its saved About selection is used, including any change made while filling. Preview has no completion effect.

Matching completion marks only that date Done and settles its active reminders. Other recurring dates stay available. When the date was rescheduled, its moved time, reminder override, and reason are preserved. See completion Reports.
