Notes and Schedule
Recurring schedules
Repeat scheduled activity using an available recurrence pattern.
Use a recurring schedule when the same Guide or Form should appear regularly. CareMap keeps one schedule for the series and shows its occurrences in the range you are viewing.
Create a recurring schedule
- Open Schedule in the workspace where you want to plan the work.
- Choose Schedule content and select the Guide or Form and who the work is About.
- In Time, set the first date, time, and timezone.
- Under Repeats, choose Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly.
- In Every, enter a whole number from 1 to 52. Weekly with Every set to 2, for example, creates an occurrence every two weeks.
- Optionally set Until. The series can include an occurrence at that date and time, but not one that starts after it.
- Continue to Options, choose the reminder and color, then select Save schedule.
Choose One-time when the work should happen only once. Available content and About subjects depend on the active workspace and your access. Saving or changing a schedule requires edit access to its source content.
Understand occurrence dates
Daily and weekly schedules advance from the first scheduled date by the selected interval. Monthly and yearly schedules keep the original day of the month when possible. If that day does not exist in a later month or year, CareMap uses the last valid day, such as February 28 for a yearly schedule that started on February 29 in a non-leap year.
Schedule loads only the range on screen. Use Today, Week, Month, Agenda, or the range controls to find another occurrence. Cards show a label such as Every day, Every 2 weeks, or the optional end date.
Change the series or one occurrence
Choose Edit schedule on an occurrence to change the series, including its first time, timezone, cadence, interval, or recurrence end.
To change one projected occurrence while leaving the series intact, use its occurrence action:
- Skip removes that occurrence from active Schedule views.
- Reschedule moves it to another date and time.
- Done or Mark occurrence done records that occurrence as complete.
- Clear or Clear exception removes a visible rescheduled or done change.
If you choose Delete recurring schedule, CareMap removes the recurring schedule and its future projections. Completed Guide or Form responses and Reports are kept.
If the schedule cannot be saved or found
- Every must be a whole number from 1 to 52, and Until cannot be before the first scheduled time.
- If CareMap reports an overlap, change the timing or person, cancel, or choose Save with overlap when the overlap is intentional and that action is available.
- Clear Schedule filters and move to the expected date range when an occurrence is not visible.
- If edit or occurrence actions are missing, confirm that this is a recurring schedule you can edit. One-time schedules and assignment due items use different controls.
