Inspect aggregate source responses

Read saved answer previews, expand retained responses, and open current source Reports with the right access.

Source responses let the aggregate's creator check the saved answers behind a field. Reading a saved response and opening its current source Report have different access rules.

Read the contributing answers

  1. Open your aggregate's Results or Timeline.
  2. Find a field and select Explore field.
  3. Select Browse source responses.
  4. Check each answer's About name, submission time, and Recorded by attribution.
  5. Select Read full saved response to expand an answer beyond its preview.
  6. Select Open source report to inspect the original Report when available. Use Back to aggregate to return.
  7. Use Show response preview or Hide source responses when finished.

Responses are ordered newest submitted first, in pages of up to 25. Use First page, Previous, and Next inside the response list. Only one full response is expanded at a time; changing its page closes that expansion.

Know what is saved

A preview can shorten both readable answer text and its optional AI summary. Expanding retrieves the full response retained by the aggregate; it does not rerun the source Guide or Form.

The readable answer can come from saved text, a label, transcript, filename, or existing answer summary. Aggregate readable text is limited to 20,000 characters. Even Read full saved response is not a guarantee that every character or attachment from the original answer is displayed.

For media, grading, events, or complete original context, use Report evidence and media downloads in the source Report. A filename or readable label does not mean aggregate AI inspected the file.

The card time is the Report submission time displayed in your device's local timezone. It can differ from the Timeline grouping date.

Handle changed or unavailable content

A source Report opens with current permissions and may have changed, been voided, or become unavailable since capture. That does not automatically erase the creator's saved aggregate. Do not interpret access to a saved answer as permission to access the current source.

Privacy cleanup can update retained names or text within an existing snapshot. Open saved sections reload when those changes arrive; ordinary generation progress does not itself rebuild their contents. A newly published replacement can reset pages and field selection.

For a section loading failure, use Retry loading this section. For The saved result changed, use Retry loading. These actions read saved data and do not start another generation. Follow Refresh and generation management to rebuild the snapshot from currently available source Reports.
