Reports
Read an aggregate Timeline
Browse periods and choices, interpret percentages and number trends, and check timezone and coverage limits.
Timeline compares a field's captured answers over the aggregate's saved reporting period. It uses Report submission times in the aggregate timezone.
Explore periods and choices
- Open your Aggregate Report and select Timeline.
- Find the field and select Explore field.
- For choices, review the Timeline choices count and browse its pages to compare more choices.
- Under Timeline periods, use First page, Previous, and Next to browse saved periods.
- Compare the chart with its Timeline values table.
- Use Browse source responses to inspect individual saved answers.
Choice pages determine which series appear together. Period pages determine which dates appear. Neither control filters the captured population or changes its denominators. Changing the displayed choice set starts its period view again at the first page.
Understand the dates
CareMap automatically groups by day, week, or month according to the elapsed length of the saved range. Weekly buckets begin on Sunday; monthly labels identify the month. There is no grouping selector.
Only periods containing captured responses are stored. An absent period is not a displayed zero or proof of inactivity. A line spanning dates does not establish what happened between recorded periods. A missing choice within an existing period is shown as zero for that selected series.
Responses are grouped by the Report's submission time, not each answer's capture time. The timestamp on an individual response card uses your device's local timezone, so it can differ from the grouping date.
Interpret the values
- Choice timelines show choice counts and percentages for each period. Their denominator is distinct Reports that answered the field in that period. Repeated answers and multiple selections can exceed 100%.
- Numeric timelines show average, minimum, and maximum for the period's usable numeric answers.
- Other fields show response counts by period; this is not an analysis of the meaning of text, dates, or media.
Single-choice Timeline percentages can differ from Results percentages because Results uses answer records.
For flat Guide Options with multiple selections, Timeline counts saved selections, but the available series come from the Results choice list. A choice never saved first in any answer may therefore be absent from the display. Review source responses for the full selections.
Recover a missing view
Check both choice and period pages before assuming data is missing. Tables show values only for those displayed choices and periods. Use Retry loading this section for a read failure, or Retry loading when the saved snapshot changed. Use Refresh only when you intend to generate a replacement.
