Notes and Schedule
Create and edit a Note
Choose a destination, write content, set About and attachments, and save a new Note revision.
A Note stores free-form context in its owning workspace. Creating or editing requires the applicable Notes and content-authoring License grants, permission for the destination or Note, and available storage.
Create a Note
- Open Notes in the intended workspace and select New Note or the Create Note plus button.
- Check the destination shown in the editor.
- In Note, enter Title and Note body. Use the formatting toolbar for headings, emphasis, lists, checklists, links, tables, and alignment. See formatting and images.
- Open Note options to review Subject date, Date and time, and Timezone when the Note describes a particular event.
- In Attachments, choose files. Wait for any pending editor resource work.
- In Access, choose optional About people and available additional access. Review these choices before saving.
- Select Create Note and wait for the saved Note to open.
Personal About choices come from the workspace owner's account and active contacts. Organization choices come from assigned people with an active status. Available choices can differ from the entire People directory.
The saved About selection cannot be changed in the Note editor. It establishes a lasting relationship used for access; see history and sharing.
A blank title gets a title derived from the content, or Untitled Note if there is no suitable text. Automatic title generation can update it afterward, using destination AI credits and adding a revision. Enter your own title when you need specific wording.
Save an edit
Open the Note and select Edit when available. Update its content, date, or attachments, optionally describe the change in What changed? (optional), then select Save new revision.
Edits are saved as a new current revision. They do not rewrite older history. A shared editor can change content without being allowed to manage access. Archived Notes must be restored before editing.
The editor saves to the server when you confirm Create Note or Save new revision. A local draft backup is separate from a saved Note revision.
Limits and recovery
Titles allow up to 300 characters; the optional change summary allows 1,000. The saved body has a 4 MiB text limit. Attachment and workspace storage limits also apply.
If the latest Note changed, follow save-conflict recovery. For a save or upload failure, keep the editor open and read the error before retrying. Content can have saved before a later sharing step failed.
Closing a changed editor asks Discard unsaved Note changes?. Keep editing returns to the draft; Discard changes abandons it. Saving or resource work can temporarily prevent closing.
