Favorite Library content

Favorites mark content you use often. They belong to your account; favoriting a shared item does not favorite it for anyone else.

Add or remove a favorite

1. Open Library and find an active item you can view.
2. Select its star, or choose Add to favorites from its actions menu.
3. Use the filled star or Remove from favorites to remove it.

Folders, Guides, Forms, Courses, templates, and files support favorites. Viewing access is enough; you do not need permission to edit the content. The control is disabled while saving. If it reports an error or reverts, refresh and confirm that you still have access and the item is active.

Use favorites on Home

Home's Favorites section shows active, accessible favorites for the selected workspace. Personal Home includes its available shared content; an organization Home uses that organization's content.

Items appear in name order. Home initially shows up to four; use View all favorites to expand the section and Show fewer to collapse it. If the section was hidden through Home customization, restore it there.

Selecting a favorite performs the usual action for that type. A Guide may play or show details according to your Guide settings and its availability. Item menus also let you remove favorites on Home.

Open a favorite Course

A Course favorite opens a chooser for its Library source and any matching items already in your Learn collection. Choose Open in Learn for saved learning, or Edit source when you have editing access.

Favoriting alone does not add a Course to Learn or update its selected version. If the source becomes unavailable and the chooser fails, open Learn directly to check an existing enrollment.

Moves, archiving, and access changes

A favorite follows an item's rename or move while you still have access. Moving it to another workspace can change which Home shows it.

Archived, deleted, or inaccessible items disappear from active favorites. Archiving does not erase the saved favorite: it can reappear after restoration when your access still allows it. Removing a favorite does not delete, move, archive, or unshare the content.

Favorites in Shelf Mode

Shelf Mode shows active, accessible Guide favorites across the account. Other favorite types remain available in the normal experience but do not appear on the Shelf.

Shelf covers launch Guides and support reordering. To add or remove a favorite, leave Shelf Mode and use Library or Home. Favorite Guides are eligible for automatic offline preparation when CareMap connects, but check Offline Packages on each device before relying on them without a connection.

If a favorite is missing

Check the selected workspace, item lifecycle, and folder access. Refresh after recent moves or sharing changes. Expand Home's Favorites section if only the first four are visible. A favorite does not preserve access after a sharing grant is removed.
