Enrollment and progress

Follow Course enrollment, progress, completion, and available next steps in Learn.

Learn keeps the Courses and References you add from the Catalog. For Courses, it also records lesson progress, assessment attempts, completion, and certificates.

Add content to Learn

Learn requires content access and an available Catalog Course or Reference.

  1. Open Learn and select Browse Courses, or open Catalog and choose Courses or References.
  2. Open an item and select Add to Learn.
  3. Return to Learn. Use Courses, References, or Completed to find it, then select Start, Open, Continue, or Review.

The item uses the Catalog version current when you added it. A Catalog listing cannot be added to Learn twice.

Continue a Course

The Course card and outline show the percentage of Lessons completed. Lessons open in order: completing one unlocks and opens the next.

  1. Read or play the content in the current Lesson.
  2. If the Lesson has a Quiz, pass it before Complete Lesson becomes available. Retakes are allowed.
  3. Select Complete Lesson to record progress and continue.
  4. Complete every Lesson. If the Course has a final assessment, pass it to finish the Course; otherwise the last Lesson completes it.

The progress percentage counts completed Lessons. It can show 100% before the Course is complete when a final assessment remains. A completed Course moves to Completed, becomes read-only for review, and issues a certificate.

References do not track progress or completion. Their Chapters are available in any order and they do not issue certificates.

Handle a new version

New version available means the publisher released another approved version. Open the item, choose the desired Selected version, and select Change Version. Confirm only when you are ready: replacement permanently deletes current progress and assessment attempts and starts the selected version over. Previously issued certificates remain unchanged.

For a completed Course, use Recertify to begin a new learning run. You can choose an available recertification version first; the completed Course and its certificate history remain available.

Remove an item from Learn

Open an active Course or Reference and select Remove from Learn. A Course with progress or assessment attempts requires confirmation; removal permanently deletes that learning history. Completed Courses stay in Learn with their certificate history and cannot be removed this way.

Fix common problems

  • A later Lesson is locked: Complete every earlier Lesson first.
  • Complete Lesson is unavailable: Pass that Lesson's Quiz.
  • The Course shows 100% but is not completed: Pass its final assessment.
  • Learn requires content access: Ask an administrator to review your content access. Existing certificates can still be viewed and validated.
  • A Course is missing: Check the active tab and search, then confirm that the Catalog listing is still available to you.
