Getting Started
Customize Home
Choose which Home sections appear and arrange them for your account.
Home view settings control which Home sections are visible and the order in which they appear. The saved layout belongs to your signed-in account, so it follows that account across workspaces and supported web, desktop, and mobile clients.
Open Home view settings
- Select Home in the main navigation.
- Select Customize in the Home action bar. The control is also identified as Home view settings.
On both wider and compact layouts, the settings flyout keeps the section list scrollable and the Reset, Cancel, and Save actions reachable in its footer.
Choose the sections
Use the checkbox beside a section to show or hide it:
- Invitations summarizes available contact, organization, and care-team invitations.
- Favorites provides shortcuts to favorite Library folders and content.
- Upcoming shows scheduled work, due assignments, and available reminder actions in the current schedule range.
- Assigned guides lists direct Guide assignments available to your account.
- Continue editing provides shortcuts to recently edited Guides you can still edit.
- History groups recent Guide plays and Reports by day.
Showing a section makes it eligible to appear. A visible section can still be absent when there are no matching rows, when the active workspace does not contain them, or when your current access does not allow them.
Reorder sections
Use the drag handle beside a section to move it:
- With a mouse or touch screen, drag the handle to the preferred position and release it.
- With a keyboard, focus the handle and press Space or Enter to pick it up. Use the arrow keys, Home, or End to choose a position, then press Space or Enter to drop it. Press Escape to cancel that move.
The list announces the target position while a keyboard move is active. The new arrangement remains a draft until you save it.
Save, cancel, or reset
- Save applies the current visibility and order to your account and closes the flyout.
- Cancel or the close button discards the current draft. Reopening Home view settings restores the last saved arrangement.
- Reset changes the draft to the default order with all six sections visible. It does not change the saved layout until you select Save. Use Cancel if you reset the draft by mistake.
If CareMap cannot save the layout, the flyout stays open and shows an error so you can retry without assuming the draft was applied.
Understand what customization changes
Home customization changes presentation only. Hiding or moving a section does not:
- decline an invitation or remove a favorite;
- cancel a schedule item, reminder, or Guide assignment;
- archive or delete a Guide; or
- erase a Guide play, Report, or other history.
The visibility and order follow your account rather than an individual workspace. The rows inside the sections are refreshed from the active workspace and your current access. Switching workspaces can therefore change the content or leave a visible section empty without changing the saved Home layout.
For more detail about assignment rows, see Assignments. Use Navigate CareMap for workspace and main navigation guidance.
