Guide structure
Understand sequences, pages, blocks, the Start sequence, and structural changes.
A Guide has four levels. Choosing the right level helps you find the right menu and avoid changing more content than intended.

You need authoring availability in a writable workspace and edit access to the Guide's Library folder to change this structure. An archived Guide must be restored before editing.
Build from the first page
A blank Guide created in Library starts with a sequence named Start and an empty Page 1. A blank sequence added later includes an empty First Page. These are names you can change; the Start designation is a separate setting.
- Select the sequence where the next page belongs.
- Choose Page > Add page, enter its name, and select Add page.
- Select Add block on that page and choose the content you need.
- Use Sequence > Add sequence when you need another flow. Name it and select Add sequence.
- Repeat until each intended step has its content and interactions.
The Add page and Add sequence dialogs also offer Use template. Choose a matching template before submitting; enabling the option alone is not enough. See creating and editing.
Choose block content
The four authored block types are Text, Media, Field, and Flashcard. Text holds written content. Media holds an image, video, or audio item. Field holds a prompt and enabled answer methods, such as typing or selecting an option. Flashcard presents question-and-answer content that flips.
The Add block chooser separates built-in blocks from saved block templates. Search it if you cannot see the choice you need, or clear the search to see more results. Detailed behavior belongs to the individual Text, Media, Field, and Flashcard articles.
Set the starting sequence
Select the intended sequence, then choose Sequence > Make start sequence. The command is unavailable when that sequence is already Start. Moving a sequence to the top of the list or selecting its page for editing is not the same action.
Use the Organizer's Start badge to check the designation. Active and Current indicate the author's selection. Review sequences and navigation when creating routes between flows.
Rearrange or remove content
The Organizer moves sequences and pages without recreating them. Moving a page to another sequence requires the source sequence to retain at least one page. The Page organizer focuses on one sequence and offers rename, copy, duplicate, and delete actions.
Deleting a page also removes its blocks. Deleting a sequence removes its pages and their blocks. CareMap supplies a blank replacement when the final page or sequence is deleted. Available Undo can reverse a recent change in the current editor session. After any structural change, review Warnings and Preview the affected paths, especially paths into removed content.
