Order answers

Previously called Sort, this is the same sequencing and ranking method. Existing Guides keep their authored Button labels, including “Sort” or custom labels. The Help link and the search term “Sort” still lead here.

Use an Order answer method when a player should arrange a set of items into an order. Each item has a required label and can also have an image. You need edit access to the Guide.

Use Order when every item belongs in the answer and its position matters, such as ordering routine steps or ranking preferences. Use Options when the player should select one or more items instead. Use Scale when the answer is one numeric rating.

Configure Order items

1. Open the Guide and select the Field block that asks the question.
2. Open Answer methods, select Add method, and choose Order.
3. Give the method a clear label.
4. Under Order items, edit each item label. Select its image area or image action to choose, upload, replace, or clear an optional image.
5. Drag the reorder handle to set the starting order. Select Add item when the player needs another item to arrange.
6. Keep at least two items, give every item a non-empty unique label, then select Save block.

The authored order is the order a player sees before answering. Item images are included in Guide asset packaging, so available images continue to work in an offline-ready Guide.

An Order method supports up to 100 items. Keep the list much shorter when possible so the order remains understandable and practical on the devices players use. Item labels are compared without capitalization, so labels such as Morning and morning count as duplicates.

Arrange an answer

The player drags items in the vertical list. The visible list animates as items move, and the new order saves when the player drops an item. Keyboard users can focus a reorder handle, press Space or Enter to pick it up, use the arrow keys, Home, or End to choose a position, and press Space or Enter again to drop it.

Every configured item remains in the answer. Order does not support a partial list, duplicate items, or selecting only some items. When a Field offers more than one answer method, choose Order before arranging the list. Wait for the drop and save to finish before leaving the page.

Reset order restores and saves the author's starting order. Clear removes the saved answer and returns the list to that starting order. Merely seeing the starting order does not count as an answer until an order is saved.

Reports

Reports show every label in the saved order, for example Morning → Afternoon → Evening. Preview answers are not included in Reports. Advanced report settings can hide the answer or provide a custom report label and help text.

An item's configured image helps the player recognize the item, but it is not copied into the saved answer as photo evidence. Order answers do not currently write to a mapped Form field.

Fix common problems

• The method cannot be used: Add at least two items and make every label non-empty and unique.
• An image is missing: Reopen the item and choose an image available to the Guide.
• The order did not save: Wait for the drop to finish, check the connection, and move the item again.
• The starting order was not recorded: Move an item, or change the list and select Reset order to explicitly save the author's starting order.
• The answer is absent from the Report: Confirm an item was moved or the starting order was explicitly reset, and verify Include in reports is on.
