Guide editor controls

Find the structure outline, block outline, menus, Preview, and phone controls.

The Guide editor shows the selected page together with tools for editing its content and structure. Its layout changes with the available screen width. Use the same Guide, Sequence, and Page actions whether you work on a phone or a larger screen.

Open Library, find an editable Guide, and select Edit. Authoring requires an active Guide, edit permission in its folder, and a workspace that allows authoring. A playback screen has different controls; use Library's Edit action when you want to change the Guide itself.

Find your current place

The editor shows the selected sequence and page. On extra-wide screens, the left outline lists sequences and their pages. Select a name to work there; use its adjacent action menu for operations on that particular row.

The separate Blocks outline on the right lists the current page's blocks in order, with their names, types, selection state, and any warnings. Select a block's row to focus it on the page. Its warning action opens review for that block. The Blocks outline is a navigation aid; edit the block through its on-page controls and Block Editor. That editor contains the block's content, Card, Speech, and type-specific settings.

On intermediate widths, sequence buttons replace the large structure outline. They show names and page counts, including the Start designation. The Organizer remains available for navigating the full structure.

Use the menus

MenuCommon actions
GuideGuide settings, Move guide when available, Schedule, Create guide template
SequenceAdd, copy, duplicate, rename, settings, Make start sequence, delete, Organizer
PageAdd, copy, duplicate, rename, settings, color, layout, Speak page, Page organizer, delete

The top menus act on your current selection. Check the displayed sequence and page before using them. A row's own action menu on the large outline targets that row, so check its name too. Adding a page requires a destination sequence; some actions are unavailable when their required selection or access is missing.

Work on a phone

The compact command bar contains Structure, Guide, Sequence, Page, and More. Structure opens the full Organizer. Use it to select another sequence or page and to rearrange the Guide.

More contains Undo, Redo, Agent, and Warnings. Preview is the play-shaped button beside the Guide's context information. Back returns toward Library; unsaved draft work may need saving or a discard decision first. These controls avoid needing the side outlines on a narrow screen.

Check your work

On wider layouts, Warnings and Undo/Redo are toolbar controls, and Preview has its own button. Review Undo and Redo before reversing a saved action. Use organizing sequences and pages for drag handles and keyboard reordering.

If a side outline disappears after resizing, use the menus or Structure instead. If you see a save error or conflict notice, keep the editor open and resolve the affected draft before leaving. Preview tests the experience without creating a Reports inbox record; use normal Play for a recorded run.

Find unsaved work

Select Drafts to inspect retained versions for this Guide on this device. See saved drafts for reopening, downloading, and storage limits. If editing access changes or a panel fails, follow Guide editing troubleshooting before reloading.
