Catalog reviews and releases
Follow review status and publish updated releases of Catalog content.
Catalog reviews protect public submissions and updates before they become available to everyone. Releases are immutable versions of the content behind a Catalog submission. You need Publisher permission to manage them; publishing for an organization also requires Manager access.
Follow a review
- Open Catalog, then choose Publishing.
- Open one of your submissions. Public work awaiting a decision is labeled In review or Pending. A rejected submission is labeled Review rejected or Rejected.
- Under Review status, check whether the review is for the public submission, a version, or updated listing details. A rejection shows its reason and any review note.
- Correct the relevant content or listing details before trying again. When the public submission itself was rejected, choose Resubmit for review.
An initial public submission is not available to other Catalog users until it is approved. After a public submission is approved, its current approved version remains available while a later version or listing-detail update is reviewed.
Choose Cancel submission or Cancel review only while a review is pending. Canceling an initial public submission removes it. Canceling a later review discards that pending version or pending listing-detail change and keeps the last approved content in place.
Private submissions do not use public review. Their content and listing-detail changes publish immediately for the publisher and any private audience.
Publish a new version
- In Catalog > Publishing, open the submission and choose New version.
- Choose the updated content you own for the same publisher.
- Optionally add a version label and changelog. CareMap assigns the next version number automatically.
- Choose Publish v#.
For a Guide with authored cloud speech, wait for Speech ready before publishing the version. Force-publish without pending generated speech creates the immutable version without unfinished speech and uses learner or device fallback for those omitted items.
The submission's title, description, category, tags, cover, and screenshots stay unchanged when you publish a version. Use Edit details when the Catalog page itself needs to change.
A private version becomes current immediately. A new version of an approved public submission stays Pending until an administrator approves it; after approval, it becomes the current version. Rejected and pending versions remain visible to the publisher with their status, but other users can choose only approved versions that have not been discontinued.
Manage older versions
Open the submission to see its Versions list, labels, changelogs, sizes, and states. A publisher can Discontinue version for an older approved version or Restore version later. The current version cannot be discontinued.
Publishing a new version does not replace independent copies already added to Library. Courses and References already in Learn can show Update when a new current version is available. Replacing a Learn version restarts its progress and assessment attempts, so review the confirmation before continuing.
If a version or action is missing, confirm that you still have Publisher access, that the source content belongs to the same publisher, and that you opened the submission from Publishing. Read any review reason or error, make the needed change, then retry.
