Review Catalog submissions

Inspect captured content and decide publication, release, and listing-detail proposals.

CareMap administrators review public changes under Admin > Content > Catalog > Reviews.

Inspect the request

  1. Select Review beside the request.
  2. Check its publisher and review target: publication, release, or metadata.
  3. Review the title, description, visibility, tags, cover, screenshots, version, and changelog where supplied.
  4. Select each item under Included content.

A release review concerns its captured version. A metadata review can display the current content for context but changes only listing details. An overall publication review shows the latest pending content and details; its decision applies to the listing's pending content together. If several versions were prepared during that review, coordinate with the publisher before deciding.

The preview is read-only. It does not edit the Library source, enroll you, or record learning progress.

What the previews show

  • Guide: sequences, pages, block text, Flashcard answers, and field-method labels. This is a structured inspection, not full interactive Guide playback.
  • Form: sections, text/images, field labels, types, required state, and choice labels. It is not a filled submission or a complete interactive validation test.
  • Template: its description and captured structured contents.
  • File: Download file retrieves the captured file when available.
  • Course or Reference: ordered Lessons or Chapters, content text, captured media, quiz and final-exam questions, answer options, correct-answer labels, explanations, passing thresholds, and shuffle settings.

Course images, audio, and video use captured assets. YouTube videos remain provider-hosted. Linked Catalog items are separate content; the preview neither installs nor enrolls in them.

For failed Course media, use Retry captured media. A missing asset or unsupported item notice identifies a preview limitation; it does not prove the content is ready. Close and reopen a failed review load.

Approve or reject

Choose Approve when the reviewed change is ready. Approval applies immediately and removes that request from the pending queue.

To reject:

  1. Select Reject.
  2. Choose Reason.
  3. Optionally enter Message to publisher with the correction needed.
  4. Select Reject submission.

Reasons include incomplete/broken content, misleading listing details, content quality, privacy/safety, copyright/permissions, unsupported content, and Other. The optional message allows 5,000 characters. Back leaves the rejection form without making a decision.

The service requires the overall publication decision before separate public updates can be decided. Approving a release or metadata proposal makes that specific proposal current; rejecting it preserves the previously approved one.

If a decision fails, reopen the queue before repeating it. A request already decided by someone else cannot be decided again. A later proposal does not automatically cancel earlier pending proposals, so check the intended version and details carefully.
