Catalog

Catalog overview

Browse content that publishers have made available through the CareMap Catalog.

Catalog is CareMap's place for finding and sharing published content. A publication contains a specific, unchanging version that people can add without changing the publisher's original Library content.

Open Catalog

On desktop, choose Catalog in the sidebar. On mobile, it appears under More unless you have added it to the bottom toolbar.

Catalog is enabled in navigation by default. If it is hidden on this device, open Settings > Appearance > Features and turn on Catalog. This preference changes navigation only; it does not change your access or remove content.

Find and use publications

  1. Open Browse, then choose Content, Courses, or References.
  2. Use Search Catalog or select a publisher to narrow the results.
  3. Open a card to review its publisher, description, visibility, screenshots, versions, and status.
  4. Choose an available version. Supported content can be added to Library; Courses and References can also be added to Learn.

Content added to Library is an independent copy. A later Catalog version does not silently replace it. Courses and References in Learn can offer an update when a newer current version becomes available.

Catalog sections and access

The sections you see depend on your content and permissions:

  • Browse shows active public publications that have been approved and private publications shared with you.
  • My Content appears after content has been added for you or one of your organizations.
  • Publishing appears when you have Publisher permission. It is where you create and manage your own submissions.
  • Discontinued appears when you publish content that has been discontinued.

Public submissions require approval before other people can find them. Private submissions are visible only to their publisher and selected Contacts or Organizations. Pending, rejected, discontinued, and quarantined work may be unavailable outside the appropriate publishing view.

If Catalog content is missing

  • Clear Search Catalog, remove any publisher filter with Show all, and check the correct section and content type.
  • In My Content, choose the correct personal or organization scope.
  • Ask the publisher to confirm that the submission is active and approved, or that you are included in its private audience.
  • If Publishing is missing, ask an administrator for Publisher permission. Organization publishing also requires Manager access.
