Catalog
Add Catalog content
Add an available publication to Library or Learn.
Add Catalog content when you want your own Library copy or want to use a Course or Reference in Learn. You can choose only approved versions that are still available.
Add content to Library
- Open Catalog and find a submission in Browse or My Content.
- Open the submission and review its publisher, description, type, and Versions list.
- Choose Add to Library.
- Choose an available Version and a writable Destination folder.
- Choose Add.
CareMap copies the selected version into the destination. The result is an independent Library item or folder: it does not retain a Catalog connection, and later Catalog updates do not change it. You can edit the copy when your normal Library permissions allow it.
Courses and References also offer Add to Library. This creates a regular Library copy for editing or organization; it does not enroll the item in Learn or track learning activity.
Add a Course or Reference to Learn
- Open a Course or Reference submission in Catalog.
- Choose Add Course or Add Reference.
- Choose an available Version, then choose Add to Learn.
- Open Learn to use the item.
Learn keeps the exact immutable Catalog version you selected. Courses track progress, assessment attempts, completion, and certification. References use freely navigated Chapters and do not track completion or issue certificates.
If the selected listing is already in Learn, the action reads In Learn. When a newer approved current version is available, it can read Update. Replacing the Learn version starts the item over and permanently removes its current progress and assessment attempts. The confirmation explains this before the change; certificates already issued remain unchanged.
If an add action is unavailable
- The submission must be active and have at least one approved version that has not been discontinued. Pending, rejected, and discontinued versions cannot be selected.
- To add to Library, choose a folder where you can edit content. A read-only folder is not a valid destination, and workspace storage limits can prevent the copy.
- Add Course and Add Reference require access to Learn. If the action reports that the item is unavailable, check that the listing is active and has an approved current version.
- A private submission appears only when its publisher has included you or an organization you can access in its audience. If it disappears, ask the publisher to check that audience.
