Agent citations
Open the right source control to check Notes, Reports, Guides, files, profile information, and CareMap Help.
Use source links and source cards to check the information behind an Agent answer. Different source types open different views.
Check an answer
- Read the answer and look below it for source groups.
- Expand Retrieved Note sources if it is collapsed.
- Select the relevant source card or linked text.
- Check the source name, location, and any revision label.
- Read the surrounding information before relying on the answer.
- Return to the original chat tab after checking a source opened separately.
Source cards come from successful reading or search activity. They can include retrieved material that the answer did not use, so a card alone does not prove that every statement in the answer is supported.
What each source control opens
| Source | What to expect |

| Retrieved Note sources | The retrieved saved Note revision, with Revision N when its number is available or Saved revision otherwise. |
| Captured Report sources | The exact Report read by the Agent. Inspect captured answers and events separately from generated summaries. |
| Guide sources | Preview of the Guide, sequence, page, or block. Names and a location path appear when available. |
| Library files under Retrieved file sources | Download of that file's original. The subtitle may name the folder it was retrieved from; it is not a folder-opening button. |
| Profile Documents under Retrieved file sources | The person's profile with the retrieved document revision or comparison when still available to you. |
| Structured profile-detail links | The saved field information in a read-only profile dialog. This is separate from a Profile Document. |
| CareMap Help links | The public Knowledge Base article in your browser. |
Note, Guide, Report, and Profile Document source cards open separately from the chat. Downloads use your browser or device's save behavior.
Check versions and locations
A saved Note or Profile Document citation can refer to an older revision. Do not silently substitute the current version when comparing an earlier answer. Use the source's history and current view to understand what changed.
Guide citations load the currently accessible Guide and target the cited location. If that sequence, page, or block has gone, Guide source unavailable appears instead of substituting the Guide's beginning.
File downloads check the current file record. An older answer's name or folder label may differ after a rename or move.
Some saved evidence links open the separate Citation evidence screen. Use citation previews for that view; it is not the destination of every ordinary Agent source card.
When a source is missing
Ask the Agent to identify the evidence it actually read. Do not infer a revision, date, or permission from a filename or a sentence inside the source.
Use citation recovery for unavailable links, downloads, or previews.
