Recover an Agent source link

Resolve missing sources, download failures, changed Guide locations, and unavailable citation previews.

An old answer can remain in chat after its source changes or your access ends. Check the source control and its message before requesting another answer.

Start with these checks

  1. Confirm that you are signed in with the intended account.
  2. Return to the original chat and use its source card.
  3. Check your connection and read the visible error.
  4. Try opening the source through Library, Notes, Reports, People, or Learn, whichever applies.
  5. Ask the owner or administrator to check current access if the source cannot be opened directly.
  6. Ask the Agent to search again when you need current evidence.

Do not rely on a returned source that you cannot open directly. Report that discrepancy through an approved support channel.

The answer's source text is not clickable

A source name in prose is not always a working citation. CareMap only creates certain source controls when reading or search activity supplies a valid destination. A missing or ambiguous location can prevent a link.

Use the source cards below the answer or ask the Agent to read the exact source. Do not guess record links or assume a familiar title identifies the right item.

A file download fails

Use the original-file button under Retrieved file sources.

  • A sign-in message needs an authenticated session.
  • An access message means the file is no longer downloadable by your account.
  • A missing-file message means that record is unavailable.
  • A not-ready message can be retried after processing.
  • A connection error can be retried after connectivity returns.

If you cancel a device save dialog, Download canceled. No file was saved. is not a successful download. Check your device's downloads or save destination.

A renamed or moved file can still download from its existing source card. Do not replace it with another file merely because the names match.

A Guide location is unavailable

Guide source unavailable means the cited sequence, page, or block is no longer in that Guide. Return to Library and inspect the current Guide, then ask for fresh evidence. An offline copy is not a substitute for the current access check used by a source preview.

A citation preview fails

Preview unavailable means no visual surface is available for that citation. Use the offered source-opening control.

Citation unavailable can mean missing or changed evidence, an account or access mismatch, or a failure to load the preview. If a source-opening control is still present, try it; otherwise return to the normal source screen.

Record the source type, visible label, approximate time, and exact message for support. Avoid sending private care content through an unapproved channel.
