AI Report summaries

An AI summary gives a short account of recorded Report information. It is an aid to review: check the original answers and evidence before relying on it. It is separate from an interpretation of an individual response and from aggregate summaries, which have their own evidence, funding, and refresh rules.

Generate a summary

1. Open Reports and select a Report you can currently read.
2. Find AI summary in the Overview.
3. Review any message explaining an automatic skip or unavailable service.
4. Select Generate summary when offered.
5. Wait for Generating summary to finish. Keep reviewing the Report or return later; use Refresh status if the result has not appeared.
6. Open the summary's numbered references and compare its wording with the captured evidence.

A request already in progress is reused. Refresh status checks existing work; it does not start a new summary. A completed summary remains attached to the Report. Report detail has no control to edit, delete, regenerate, or choose an older version of that summary.

Who pays for a manual request

CareMap first tries your personal AI credits. If those cannot fund the request and the Report's About account is someone for whom you have effective Guardian authority, their personal funding may be used instead. Each request uses one funding source; balances are not combined.

Being Staff or switching to an organization workspace does not make the organization pay for your manual request. Automatic summaries have different funding and eligibility rules. Check the relevant balance in Usage. Reserved credits are held for unfinished work, not a final charge.

When a summary is unavailable

No AI summary yet does not mean the Report is missing. Automatic generation may have been skipped because of preferences, answers, or credits. You can request a manual summary when the button is available.

For insufficient credits, review the applicable personal balance. For a temporary service or accounting failure, retry later when Generate summary is offered. If the state changed during a request, refresh before trying again. A failed request does not remove the Report or its original evidence.

A specific evidence restriction can hide this section. Ordinary Report access does not require active profile consent when Report permissions otherwise allow it. Voided Reports cannot start new whole-Report summaries.
