AI summary evidence and references
Check summary citations, context limits, combined Guide + Form evidence, and UTC submission dates.
An AI summary uses a limited text snapshot of a Report. It does not analyze every attached file or replace a complete review.
Check a summary against its sources
- Open the Report's AI summary and read the generated wording.
- Select a numbered reference to open its available captured source.
- Review the highlighted Overview, Event, or Form response.
- Compare important claims with the full Answers, Form submission, and Events sections, including any media.
- Treat missing or unverified references as a reason to inspect the original information directly.
References identify captured sources; they do not independently verify the AI's wording. [Unverified reference] means the reference could not be recognized. A summary can also state that no verified evidence references are available. Neither condition means the original Report has no evidence.
What information is included
Guide summaries receive captured response text and metadata, relevant activity, question/response groupings, and available completion information. At most the latest 50 recorded Report items and 100 relevant activity events are included; long Reports can lose more context to fit the summary limit. Repeated responses or multiple methods do not necessarily mean multiple different questions.
Form summaries use saved submitted responses and grading information, starting with up to the first 50 answers. Longer content can reduce that number further. A summary does not recalculate the saved Form score. Read Form Reports for the full submission.
Photo, signature, drawing, audio, and upload files are not opened and analyzed by this summary request. Captured labels, response types, or evidence states can describe them without proving what the files contain. Open answer evidence and media yourself when that content matters.
Combined Guide + Form Reports
Current automatic summaries use the Guide evidence for a combined Report. A manual summary requested before any summary has completed uses its Form submission instead. Neither path combines both sets of evidence into one complete account.
An existing completed summary is reused, so Generate summary cannot replace an automatic Guide summary with a Form summary. Review both Report sections.
Dates and omissions
Form summary submission dates use UTC. The Report's displayed date uses your local time, so the calendar day can differ near midnight. A date entered as a Form answer is separate from the submission time.
Summaries are brief and can omit relevant details even when references exist. For an incomplete or surprising result, use the full saved Report as the source of truth; summary controls do not edit its answers or the generated wording.
