Page settings and save controls

Find Page settings for names, timers, navigation locks, speech, entry outcomes, layouts, and backgrounds.

Select a page in an editable Guide, then choose Page > Page settings. You need permission to edit the Guide's Library folder and a workspace that allows authoring. Restore an archived Guide before editing it.

The Name identifies the page in authoring and navigation. Renaming a page does not replace its block content or change its identity as a route destination.

Save ordinary Page settings

  1. Select the page and open its settings.
  2. Change the relevant section. You can move between sections before saving.
  3. Complete any outcome's destination or text fields.
  4. Wait for background uploads to finish.
  5. Select Save page, then Preview the affected path.

A blank name, an active background upload, or a Changed elsewhere conflict can disable Save page. Complete the name, let the upload settle, or compare the versions before retrying. See editing conflicts.

Closing with unsaved changes can offer Keep editing or Discard changes. A retained device draft is recovery material; it does not make unsaved settings visible to other players.

Cloud voice is an exception: changing or clearing its binding saves through that selector immediately. Cancel does not undo a successfully saved voice change. Check the selector's own result and preparation status.

Choose the behavior you need

Use page-entry outcomes for an action when someone enters the page. Use a page timer for an action after a duration. They have separate timing; one does not automatically wait for the other.

Use manual navigation locks to restrict particular page controls, and Sequence settings to choose the sequence's navigation controls. Neither choice supplies a missing route.

Use page layouts and backgrounds for visual presentation. The Guide cover and Media block content have separate controls.

In Speech, Speech on page visit replaces the page's usual assembled narration when supplied. Automatic speech offers Follow player setting or Disable automatic speech. A Guide-wide disable still applies, and authors cannot opt players into automatic reading. See Guide speech.

Verify saved outcomes

Finish every required destination or message before saving. If an outcome change appears to disappear, reopen Page settings and check the saved choice: an incomplete outcome draft can leave the previous valid choice in place. Save a complete choice and Preview it again.
