Guide images from Library and other sources

Choose image source appears when selecting a Guide image, including a Media image or supported cover, background, and rich-text image. It offers sources available for that target and your access.

You need permission to edit the destination. Searches, uploads, and copies need an online connection. A new file or copy also needs available workspace storage. Library and code-set choices need a saved destination.

Upload a device image

Choose Choose file from this computer and select a PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WebP file up to 50 MB (50,000,000 bytes). The device's file chooser may offer additional formats that the upload does not accept; convert those first.

Wait for upload/preparation, then save the containing block or settings. Closing the picker is not the final save of that image choice.

Browse From Library

1. Select From Library.
2. Browse the initial results, or enter a search and select Search.
3. Use All sources, Guides, Forms, or Files to filter.
4. Inspect the image, filename, and source breadcrumb.
5. Use Load more for additional matches, then choose an image.
6. Wait while CareMap prepares the selected image for the destination.

The browser includes ready images from content you can currently read. It shows each exact image once even when readable copies occur in multiple sources. + more sources indicates those additional readable uses. Search and source filters operate on that combined view. Different images remain separate even when filenames match.

Selection creates or reuses a destination-owned copy; it does not move or remove the originals. Access is checked again when you select, so an earlier search result is not a guarantee that copying will still succeed.

Choose Code-set images

Select Code-set images to browse vocabulary images. Enter a search and select Search, choose a category from All categories, or combine them. Clear the category filter to broaden results. Use Load more when available.

Inspect an image's vocabulary label and group, then select it. This browser chooses existing vocabulary images; it does not edit the vocabulary catalog. Availability depends on the image target and the visible catalog. For missing images or catalog corrections, an administrator can manage Code Sets.

Search Pixabay

When Pixabay is available, open it, browse photos or enter a search, and select Search. Choose a result and wait for its download and upload to finish.

This source searches photos with safe search enabled. Review the selected image for the Guide's audience and context. Its availability depends on the current CareMap setup and connection.

Complete the image's settings

After selection, review the destination's description, caption, size, or fit, then save. For a Media image, see Images in Guides. For an image embedded in text, use inline-image controls.

Recover from empty or unavailable sources

• No matches: simplify the search, clear source/category filters, or load additional results.
• Search failed or took too long: reconnect and use Try again when offered, or run the search again.
• Save this Guide first: finish creating/saving the destination, then reopen the picker.
• Copy or upload failed: check access, storage, connection, format, and size; retry the selection or choose another source.
• Pixabay unavailable: use a local, Library, or code-set image that is available.

A pending rich-text image operation can keep Save block unavailable. Finish it or use its Retry/Cancel controls.
