Getting Started

Your first steps

Choose the right context, open assigned work or Library content, and confirm the result.

Start with one task you have permission to do. These steps use the standard CareMap interface. If you see daily Guide rows and a Settings gear, follow Shelf Mode instead.

1. Confirm your account and workspace

Check your account name and the workspace name in the desktop sidebar. On a compact screen, open More to find both. Choose a different available workspace if necessary. CareMap preserves a destination that is available there, or returns to Home when it is not.

Account setup and invitations can be prerequisites. If you were invited to join someone, use Receive invitations; opening Home or selecting an organization does not itself accept an invitation.

2. Find one task

Open Home and use an available action:

  • In For you, review an invitation or select Launch for an assigned Guide. These requests and direct assignments stay with your account across workspace changes.
  • In Upcoming, check the person, date/time zone, and content before Launch.
  • Open a favorite, or use Continue to return to a Guide you may edit.
  • If Welcome to Home appears, follow its View Library, Browse Catalog, or View Settings shortcut. The action depends on available destinations.

To browse content, open Library, check its workspace/source and folder, then choose an available item action. A Guide may offer Play, while other content types offer their own open or use action. If Library is unavailable, use the work you can access on Home or choose an appropriate workspace.

3. Complete and confirm

For a Guide, follow the visible instructions and answer the required Fields. Use its navigation and completion controls. Read the completion and save messages: a pending Report or queued session change is not yet a confirmed server result. Keep the app online and visible, then check the expected session or Report. See Session Sync for saved work waiting on this device.

If you can create content, another small first task is to open the intended Library folder, select Create > New Folder, enter a name, and confirm creation. The choice requires folder creation access in that workspace and editing access to the current folder.

If something is missing

Check the workspace, Library source, filters, and search terms. Home only shows summaries, so open the full destination for more items. Check Customize if Home sections were hidden, and Settings > Appearance > Features if a destination was hidden on this device.

An absent or disabled action can also reflect access, a License, or archived content. Ask the relevant owner or manager to review access instead of creating duplicate work. Open Help in the sidebar or More for the task’s Knowledge Base article.
