Getting Started
Find and accept invitations
Review contact, Care Team, organization, and Library folder invitations from the correct account.
Invitations add a relationship or shared access to your CareMap account. Sign in to the intended account and review the sender, destination, and role before accepting. A pending invitation does not itself activate that access.
Where to look
| Invitation | Where to review it | Acceptance result |
|---|---|---|
| Contact | Home > For you, or People > Invitations | Creates or reconnects the contact relationship. Separate sharing grants still control profile and record access. |
| Care Team | Home > For you, or People > Invitations | Adds the Care Team membership and role offered by the invitation. Client access depends on that team's active assignments. |
| Organization | Open its invitation in Home > For you, or open its invitation link | Shows the organization, invited email, Staff or Client role, and expiry before you accept or decline. |
| Library folder | Select Review on Library's pending-invitation bar | Adds the folder share with its assigned permission. |
Home accepts contact and Care Team invitations directly. To decline one, use People > Invitations. Organization details and Library's review dialog offer Accept and Decline. Contact invitations you sent offer Cancel while pending. For a reconnected contact, read any notice about existing Note access before accepting.
Home shows up to five incoming invitations at once. Use View People for contact and Care Team invitations, and review Library folder invitations in Library. An organization invitation link can open its detail screen directly.
Understand Accept all
The two bulk actions have different scopes:
- Home accepts actionable incoming contact and Care Team invitations. It does not accept organization or folder invitations.
- People > Invitations accepts actionable incoming contact invitations only. Review Care Team invitations individually there.
A bulk action can accept some invitations while others fail. Read the result and review remaining invitations; an error does not undo successful acceptances.
Use the intended account
Contact invitations match the invited email. Care Team, organization, and folder invitations can identify the recipient by account or by matching email. If CareMap says an invitation is unavailable for this account, check the signed-in identity and ask the sender to verify the intended recipient. Another person's link does not grant access to your account.
Accepting an invitation does not create a second sign-in account. Organization roles, Care Team assignments, and folder permissions determine the resulting access. For more detail, see organization membership and folder permissions.
Expired or unavailable invitations
Only pending, unexpired invitations can be accepted. Declined, canceled, revoked, or expired invitations need a new invitation from an authorized sender. Access may also be unavailable if the underlying team, organization, or folder is no longer available.
Check the account and connection first. If the invitation is stale, ask the sender to create a new one. Once accepted, access continues only while the relevant relationship, assignment, or share remains active.
