Change Form settings and appearance
Set the Form name, description, Library cover, quiz mode, and inherited or individual section backgrounds.
Form settings controls the Form's identity and defaults. Section settings controls one section. You need edit access to an active Form in an authoring-enabled workspace.
Change Form settings
- Open the builder's Form menu and choose Form settings.
- In General, enter the Form name and optional description.
- In Cover, choose or change the image shown on the Form's Library card. Clear cover returns to the default Form icon.
- In Quiz, choose Off, Points, or Percent correct if scoring is needed.
- In Appearance, choose the Default section background.
- Select Done, then wait for saving to finish.
The cover is a Library illustration, not a question or a Display image inside the Form. Use the image picker's available sources or upload an image. Wait for uploading to finish before applying or closing the dialog.
Changing Quiz mode does not supply correct answers automatically. Configure the relevant fields and review validation and grading.
Set a section's background
- Select the section in the outline.
- Open Section > Section settings, or use that section's menu.
- In Basics, edit its name and optional description.
- In Appearance, choose Use Form default or a specific background.
- Select Done and inspect the result in the builder and Preview.
Sections using the Form default follow later default-color changes. A section with its own override keeps that color. Return it to Use Form default to restore inheritance.
Only available background choices can be selected. Party requires its unlock; a previously stored Party value may appear as a locked option.
Understand Done and Cancel
These settings dialogs hold edits locally until Done. Canceling or closing discards unapplied settings. A successful earlier autosave does not include text still pending inside either settings dialog.
After Done, the dialog closes and the builder saves the change. Closing the dialog is not proof that the server save succeeded; check for Saving… or a save error. Unapplied settings are not included in the Form's device recovery drafts.
If a Form setting you edited changed while its dialog was open, CareMap keeps your dialog draft and displays a conflict. Preserve any text you need, then choose Discard draft and reload settings to restart from the builder's latest settings, or Cancel to abandon your edits. This action does not merge the two versions.
For a server conflict or connection failure, follow Form saving recovery. Undo can restore many builder edits, but it does not restore cover-image changes; change the cover again explicitly.
