Troubleshooting
Troubleshoot missing access
Check workspace, sharing, membership, and licensing when expected content is unavailable.
When content or an action is missing, first check where you are looking. Then check whether your access allows viewing, editing, or managing that item.
Check the workspace and Library source
- Open the workspace switcher and confirm that you selected the intended personal or organization workspace. A suspended workspace is shown but cannot be selected.
- In a personal workspace, open Library and check the source at the start of the folder path. Content shared by another person appears as a shared Library source; it does not add their workspace to your workspace switcher.
- Return to the Library root and clear search or content-type filters that could hide the item.
- Review Folder invitations and accept the correct pending invitation. Access does not begin until an invitation is accepted.
- Refresh CareMap after a folder share, membership, role, or license has just changed.
Check the access level
CareMap shows Library access as Owner, Read/write, or Read only.
- Owner can change content and manage the folder's members.
- Read/write can change content when the workspace also allows authoring, but cannot manage folder members.
- Read only can open visible content but cannot create, edit, upload, move, delete, or share it.
Folder access can be direct or inherited from a parent folder. If the folder is missing entirely, ask its Owner to confirm that the share is still active and was sent to the account email you use. If the item was moved, archived, or deleted, changing your permission will not put it back in its former location.
When a workspace or action is unavailable
- A Suspended organization workspace requires an organization manager to restore membership access.
- Creating, editing, and uploading require both a writable folder role and the workspace's Create and edit content grant. Without that grant, CareMap labels the workspace read-only and keeps permitted existing content available to view.
- Library folders, organization features, People, Reports, and Schedule use separate permissions. Access to one does not automatically grant access to the others. An administrator role also does not automatically make someone the Owner of every folder or care record.
Ask for help
Ask the folder Owner or organization manager for the smallest access level you need. Include the workspace and item name, the action you expected, the exact message shown, and whether you used web, desktop, or mobile. Do not send care content, invitation links, or other private information in an ordinary support message.
