Revoke and reissue Licenses
End an eligible assignment, inspect expired or revoked history, and issue a replacement.
Global administrators can end an active direct License and review its retained history. Reissuing creates a new assignment; the earlier history row remains.
Open Admin > Access > Users > the user > License, or Organizations > the organization > Access > Licenses.
Revoke an active License
- Check the Package name, recipient, source, and grants in the active row.
- Select Revoke.
- Optionally enter Reason (optional), up to 500 characters.
- Select Revoke License.
- Check the updated Effective grants and open Past Licenses to find the revoked row.
Revocation stops that License's grant contribution. Other active Licenses may keep the same capabilities available. Review current storage and AI Usage separately; the effective grant summary is not a record of spent or available credits.
Base-managed and organization-role-managed Licenses have no row-level revoke control. Change the relevant global Base configuration or organization role configuration instead.
Review history
Past Licenses shows expired and revoked assignments with their Package, status, issue and end dates, source, commercial terms, and available details. A recorded revocation reason appears here. An expiration ends the assignment without requiring a manual revoke.
The License panel's search filters both active rows and history. Clear it if an expected past assignment is missing. The Effective grants summary still describes the whole recipient, not just matching rows.
Reissue an eligible License
- Open Past Licenses and find the earlier assignment.
- Select Reissue.
- Review its fixed Package and the current grant preview.
- Review the USD amount, cadence, and expiration. Replace an old expiration with a future date or select Never expires.
- Select Reissue License and confirm the new active row.
The Package must still be active and suitable for the recipient. A disabled Reissue means it is unavailable; ask an administrator to review the Package and any successor. An already-active direct assignment of the same Package also prevents another issue. Organization role Licenses must be restored through qualifying relationships and configuration.
The form can carry earlier commercial terms into the replacement. Always check them rather than assuming the current Package defaults were selected.
Reissuing a Package with monthly AI credits refreshes the current-cycle allocation to the recipient's combined effective monthly allowance, replacing the remaining cycle balance. Permanent credits remain separate.
If an action fails, close its dialog, Refresh, and inspect active and past rows before retrying. An action can succeed even if loading its updated overview fails.
