Report Events and evidence drill-down
Review Guide activity, sort events, interpret page and popup durations, and inspect captured evidence entries.
Events and evidence drill-down explain the activity recorded around a Guide result. They complement the saved answers; they do not measure attention or prove that every instruction was followed.
Review Events
- Open a Guide or combined Guide + Form Report.
- Select Events.
- Read Event, Page, Timestamp, Duration, and Details.
- Select a desktop column heading to sort; select it again to reverse direction. On mobile, use Sort events by and the direction control.
- Return to Answers to inspect the response associated with an answer event.
Events start in timestamp order, earliest first. They can describe launch, visited pages, About changes, accepted answers, routes, and completion or closing outcomes. Answer events follow the answer's Report inclusion setting; excluded answers do not become visible through Events.
Times use local display formatting. An additional date appears for activity on a different day from the earliest displayed event. The timestamp also provides its full date and time. Unknown timing remains unknown.
Understand Duration
Duration is elapsed time in the named page or popup until the next recorded navigation or completion boundary. The Page: or Popup: context identifies the interval being measured; for a route, that can be its destination.
Opening a popup ends the preceding page interval. Popup time is counted separately, and returning starts a new interval for the return page. A dash means no duration was determined; it is not a zero-second result.
Elapsed time can include inactivity. It is not a measure of active engagement, task difficulty, or successful performance. Missing historical navigation targets cannot establish a destination visit.
Use Evidence drill-down
- Return to Overview.
- Find Evidence drill-down when the Report has captured entries.
- Review each Answer, Outcome, or Route entry with its location, time, and related event count.
- Inspect available evidence or return to Answers for the clearest item-by-item response review.
Answer entries show their captured value and evidence status. Outcomes can include a message, triggering choice, and whether the Guide finished naturally or was closed. Routes can show the triggering choice, effect, and destination.
The event count is the number of linked activity records, not a count of successful task attempts. Drill-down entries do not let you change a response or rerun a route.
Missing activity
A finalized Report with no reportable activity shows No events. An unfinished session may show No events yet. Direct Form Reports have no Guide Events tab.
If expected activity is absent, confirm that you opened the correct result and check any access notice. Older records may lack details captured by newer versions. See answer evidence and Report access.
